THE MAGIC OF WINTER EXPERIENCES

The largest ski resort in Austria, and fifth largest in the world, is located in the Arlberg with more than 300km of marked slopes, 88 lifts and gondolas as well as 200km of off-piste routes. St. Anton is known as the cradle of alpine skiing. Ski-tourers will find a paradise of majestic mountains. Adrenaline junkies can also book heli-skiing.

Aside from the pistes the town offers: A 43km long cross-country skiing route and 80km of winter walks. Furthermore St. Anton offers a natural toboggan-run if you wish to combine thrillseeking with the beauty of winding through the magical wintry woods. Perfectly prepared pistes and dreamy deep snow are waiting here at the Arlberg. With 87 modern lifts and gondolas, and 304km of on-piste skiing, and 200km off-piste St. Anton is the largest connected ski resort in Austria.

Freeride-fans and ski tour enthusiasts find St. Anton am Arlberg a fascinating resort. With 200km of dreamy off-piste deep snow paradise begins here for free-riders and variational skiers.

However, the high alpine dangers mustn't be ignored. To be on the safe side, you can book a state- certified mountain and ski guide for your tour.

FUN OFF THE SLOPES

Several toboggan runs in the area ensure fast-paced fun away from the slopes. The Gampen, for example, offers a four kilometre long natural toboggan run in the middle of the winter sports area.

You can get up comfortably with the gondola before descending 500 meters into the valley.

17 TRAILS & 80 KM

If you want to feel the crunching snow under your feet during leisurely activities and enjoy the fantastic landscape, a winter or snowshoe hike is just the thing.

A total of 17 marked paths with 80 km lead you through valleys, on panoramic paths at higher altitudes, past huts and inns.

ICE SKATING & CURLING

The artificial ice rink at the Arlberg WellCom Centre in the middle of St. Anton am Arlberg is open from January to March.

You can ice skate every day from 13.00-17.30, on Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat till 20.00. Anyone who would like to try curling can do so on Tue, Thu and Sat from 18.30-21.30.
